Biography
Canadian mezzo-soprano Elaine Robertson is a member of the professional Choir of St. James Cathedral, as well as a member of the professional core of the Toronto-based Tallis Choir and of St. James Cathedral's Parish Choir.
As a soloist, Miss Robertson has performed with many diverse organizations in the Greater Toronto Area, including the Tallis Choir, Toronto Choral Society, St. James Choral Society, St. James Singers, La-Belle Danse, Musick's Hand-maid, and the Toronto Classical Singers. She has also been a member of the choruses of Opera Mississauga, Opera in Concert, Opera Anonymous and Consort Caritatis.
An active recitalist with repertoire ranging from early music to oratorio, opera and art song, Miss Robertson's range, coloratura, and vocal warmth have been consistently praised. As an ensemble singer, she has performed with other accomplished Canadian soloists including Michael Colvin, Laura Albino, Gregory Dahl, Laura Whalen, Andrew Mahon, Bruno Cormier and Patricia O'Callaghan.
